About the role
As the Manager Engineering at PT Geo Sinergi Utama, you will play a crucial role in leading and overseeing the engineering department. Reporting directly to the senior management, you will be responsible for driving the strategic direction of the engineering function, ensuring efficient operations, and contributing to the overall growth and success of the company. This is a full-time position based in Jakarta.
Work Location: Jakarta
Education & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or Geological Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years in the hydro field; additional experience in mining is a plus.
Hydrology, Hydrogeology, and Technical Skills
- Proficiency in hydrological modeling and simulation tools such as HEC-RAS.
- Skilled in hydrological data analysis, including rainfall, river flow, and water quality assessments.
- Experience in water-related projects such as dams, irrigation systems, channels, and water infrastructure.
- Expertise in evaluating water infrastructure projects—reservoirs, irrigation systems, and flood mitigation initiatives.
- Strong project management skills in hydrology-related projects, including planning, scheduling, and budget management.
- Knowledge of groundwater resource management and modeling using MODFLOW.
- Deep understanding of the groundwater resources sector, including challenges such as climate change impacts and water scarcity.
- Ability to communicate complex technical findings clearly to diverse audiences, including stakeholders and non-specialists.
Business Development Experience
- Relevant experience in sales, marketing, or business development, typically 3–5 years or more.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and work teams.
- Strong capability to generate leads, close deals, and achieve sales targets.
- Ability to create sales projections, forecast revenue, and manage project budgets effectively.
Managerial and Leadership Skills
- Excellent verbal and nonverbal communication skills, crucial for engaging with clients, teams, and stakeholders.
- Proven experience in leading teams, mentoring team members, and managing complex projects.
- Strong analytical abilities to identify problems, assess situations, and provide effective, strategic solutions.
